A modern reinterpretation of the classic Chesterfield sofa originating in the 1700'sThe original design features a curvaceous arm and continuous form with back and arm at the same height, these features have been reinterpreted in a contemporary manner. The curvaceous rolled arm has been accentuated as a strong feature of the concept. The design of the embroidery detail relates to an implied doily evoking a sense of nostalgia.

Designed as a 'feature' piece suitable for Corporate Lobby spaces and waiting areas. Chest is available in two lengths, upholstery is recommended in Kvadrat Divina to accentuate the form of the piece but can be upholstered in a choice of fabrics.

Chest was the winner of the 2005 Corporate Culture + SAS journey competition.

The design was proto-typed in 2005 and exhibited at Saturday Indesign Sydney. Chest was also a finalist in the Australian International Design Awards in the Furniture and Lighting category in 2006 and was awarded a Design Mark recognising Good design.

Chest was put into production based on the original proto-type launched at Saturday Indesign and is still available for purchase from
