With a budget of $150K for a 300sqm fit-out of vacant warehouse space we got creative and identified a simple high value design strategy without the associated cost of custom design. We rationalised our usual project approach and reduced the design to a pure joinery solution with no new walls. This eliminated all non-essential trades from the fit-out process. Freestanding joinery was employed to create flexible spaces within the volume of the existing warehouse. All joinery modules are based on standard 1200 x 2400 sheet sizes to reduce waste, machining and cost.

It was important that the design retained the aesthetic value of the warehouse for this small part in the buildings lifecycle while creating a dynamic space for a boutique fashion label.
