One Farrer Place

One Farrer was originally designed by Denton Corker Marshall. The building was completed in 1993 and won several architectural awards.

Over the life of the building there had been a variety of bathroom and lift lobby designs rolled out within the two land mark towers. The client (DEXUS) established that in respect to the original architecture they would like to introduce a consistent design language for the tenant lift lobbies and amenities areas in keeping with the original grandeur of the existing buildings.

Our Intent was that the new design standard would be simple enough to successfully sit beside the various workplace Interior fit-outs throughout the buildings.

The new tenant lift lobby and bathroom design takes subtle cues from the original building architectural details.

The custom folded stainless-steel sections above the lift doors were Influenced by the ribbing details on the external building fa├žade, small metal details found in the main Lobby of Governor Philip tower were mimicked In the Lift lobby areas. The use of real stone conveys the message of stability and timelessness.

Our aim was to ensure the outcome was appropriate for the standard of the Asset and maximise the life span of the Lift Lobbies and amenities.
