Sky Terrace - Central Park Sydney

The project started off as styling update for a typical multi-res apartment, with beige walls, beige floors, typical developer grade fixtures and kitchen.

The owners, a professional couple, knew they wanted a more sophisticated and masculine approach to the interior that better aligned with their individual tastes. Their bold artwork collection was to be featured though-out. The existing travertine floors were to remain due to budget.

Black was selected as the key colour for the interior as it’s a bold and powerful, sophisticated, and elegant colour that works well to unify disparate materials. There's a lot of natural light coming into the apartment, which also made it easier to use black extensively in drapes, furniture and wall finishes.

Furniture and accessories that the client had collected were supplemented with new custom joinery to achieve a tailored and unique interior filled with their favourite pieces.

A new minimalist kitchen featuring solid stainless-steel bench tops and matte finish laminate sits quietly to the rear of the living and dining space.

The bedrooms and study have been designed to continue the same inimitable visual strength of black, combined with a bold and dramatic silk carpet.

There is a sense of calm, sophistication and tranquillity achieved with a black home that the clients have embraced.
